The Product Manager ? Energy Solutions works as part of the Product & Solutions group to help manage and develop products to deliver communications, collaboration and technical solutions to the Oil & Gas industry. The role is responsible for complete product development and management of a group of products with the purpose to improve customers? operations and efficiency through technology.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Product Manager is responsible for our existing solutions and new solution development. Tasks include budgeting and strategic planning processes, designing technical solutions, managing vendor relationships, and developing product marketing plans.
The Product Manager must work across both internal (bid teams, engineering and operations) and external (customers and vendors) groups to ensure that RigNet delivers profitable, customer-centric products and services.
The Product Manager must be able to resolve internal issues, such as process or temporary capacity limitations, to ensure the satisfactory delivery of product and services to the customer in a profitable manner.
The Product Manager must be able to collaborate with other members of the group to ensure shared success.
Success in this role is evident in the measurement of billed revenue growth and customer satisfaction results, both internal and external.
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Product management and/or marketing experience required
Relevant professional engineering qualifications or equivalent industry experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in IT/Telecommunications technologies and applications related to the upstream Oil & Gas industry
Familiarity with the execution of a managed service offering and service delivery requirements
Comfortable with high-level financial reporting and underpinned forecasting
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Capable of working independently and on a team; flexibility to work in a fast-paced, lean environment; effective at managing multiple issues simultaneously; able to adapt quickly to new projects and technologies
Strong writing and presentation skills
Comfortable with ambiguity, ability to work with incomplete information
Detail-oriented and highly organized
High integrity, energy and enthusiasm
As a minimum the employee must:

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require weekend and/or night work and occasional overnight travel.
Squat or Kneel
This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables. Some overtime work may be required.
The employee must be able to lift up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally for short durations.
The employee must be able to carry up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally for short distances.
The employee must be able to push/pull up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally usually from desk level to floor or floor to desk level.
Other Physical Requirements:
Upper extremity usage, motor coordination, range of motion, vision, hearing and balance should be in a range to safely preclude the harm or injury to the employee in this position or the harm or injury to other employees.
The employee will in most cases work in a central air-conditioned building; however, may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
