Reports To: VP, Business Services
Responsible for external and internal marketing services and communications for RigNet, including:
Marketing communications strategy
Marketing Communications team will report to the Marketing Communications Manager.
Very close cooperation with other departments and vendors to the Marketing Communications department.
Develop and implement standard processes for all aspects of Marketing Communications and ensure process compliance.
Identify, track and report on metrics to track effectiveness of marketing communications activities, particularly strategic marketing campaigns.
Prepare budgets for marketing communications projects and execute to plan.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY:
Prepare communications budgets and follow up of cost. Must have approval prior to expenditures.
Must use experience, creativity and communications skill to meet or exceed expectations for department goals. Must be able to work without supervision. Must be able to create a motivated Communications team. Must demonstrate ability to supervise contractors/vendors to the department.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY AREAS:
Duties and Responsibilities
Develop and implement marketing communication plans that reinforce RigNet?s brand and image in the industry. Document and present communication plans to management and colleagues.
Manage and coordinate the preparation of technical, promotional and news articles/releases. Target editorial insertions in trade publications and other media.
Develop and implement strategy for all tradeshows and customer events to reflect RigNet brand and support implementation of Product Launch plans. Develop standard exhibit/event display concepts and themes for implementation on a global basis.
Manage content development and structure of RigNet?s website on a regular basis.
Manage and coordinate the development of all media including; brochures, animations, video, posters, banners, invitations etc., for promoting RigNet and all related products and services.
Manage the coordination of all graphics and photography, ensuring images and animations are archived for easy retrieval

Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
College Degree required in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years of marketing communications experience, preferable at international level.
Very strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization as well as with a global audience, customers, vendors etc.
Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment.
Ability to think strategically and effectively gain support for new ideas.
Excellent written, oral and listening skills, very good interpersonal communications, excellent computer skills in Word, PowerPoint, Excel.
Must have experience in project management, have self-motivation, be well organized and detail oriented.
Must be able to quickly immerse in and adapt to company culture on a global basis and show cultural awareness.

Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work. Air-Conditioned office environment, extensive computer based workload. Travel to events and tradeshows approx. 20% of time. No special physical requirements. Frequent standing at trade shows. Must be able to work flexible hours to meet the demands of the job. Occasional exposure to Workshops. Occasional lifting required to support customer events and tradeshow activities.
Squat or Kneel
This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables. Some overtime work may be required.
The employee must be able to lift up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally for short durations.
The employee must be able to carry up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally for short distances.
The employee must be able to push/pull up to 5 lbs. frequently and up to 15 lbs. occasionally usually from desk level to floor or floor to desk level.
Other Physical Requirements:
Upper extremity usage, motor coordination, range of motion, vision, hearing and balance should be in a range to safely preclude the harm or injury to the employee in this position or the harm or injury to other employees.
The employee will in most cases work in a central air-conditioned building; however, may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
