JOB DESCRIPTION

Senior Software Engineer position for the design and development of the server backend and web services. The candidate will lead in the design and implementation of our RiskVision platform and products which are built on top of the latest J2EE technology. The Senior Software Engineer will work closely with Product Managers and key solution experts to help define and implement the features.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsible for leading a group of technical resources in the design and configuration of Agiliance IT-GRC solutions
Responsible for communicating with QA and Performance testing teams to deliver a high quality solution offering
Responsible for coordinating and working with offshore team members as part of a distributed Solution development team

REQUIREMENTS

6 - 10 years of progressive experience in the development for a scalable, high performance enterprise product
Strong working knowledge of Java, J2EE, SQL, Hibernate and XML
Excellent working knowledge on any one of the following application servers: Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere or JBoss
Strong working knowledge of MySQL, Oracle or MS SQL
Experience with Web Services (SOAP, JAXB) is a plus
Experience with performance optimization
Experience with Spring Framework and/or jBPM is a plus
Experience with reporting is a plus
Solid knowledge and application of engineering concepts
Understands development methodology and development life-cycle
Problem solving capabilities and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in person, by telephone, and with large teams
Ability to work in a team environment
Enthusiasm to learn new tools and technologies
Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent)

LOCATION

The position is based at Agiliance's headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
