The Quality Assurance - US Technical Lead position is responsible for managing use case testing on the US time zone, coordination with the India QA team and acting as a 2nd line of support between the 1st line of support and engineering. The candidate will be an important team member directing and prioritizing testing, coordination and communication with the India QA team, as well as interface daily with the development, product management and support teams. This position reports to the QA Manager who works from Agiliance IDC in Hyderabad, India.
Become an expert on using the product and share the knowledge within the organization
Learn new use cases and instruct other IDC QA team members on how to test them
Reproduce customer reported issues and write test cases that replicate customer use cases
Occasionally participate on calls with customers as second line support
Ensure that the software meets the requirements and design documents
Ensure software quality by writing and executing detailed test plans and test cases
Design and execution of functional, manual, automated, load, scalability and performance test cases
Make sure that test cases are effective and all use cases a covered
Project planning, estimation, scheduling and reporting
Document and communicate use case steps to other QA team members
Represent the QA team in cross-functional meetings and produce detailed reports
Direct the scalability and performance testing based on the customer use cases
Interface between quality assurance, development, product management and support teams to understand use cases and functionality
Daily communication with the India based QA team
Work directly with developers to help analyze and resolve issues
Mentor QA team members
5+ years of QA experience
Experience testing and deploying enterprise software and web based applications
Ability to understand use cases end-to-end and identify potential edge cases
Ability to troubleshoot and reproduce issues and then narrow down the problem
Ability to test efficiently and discover issues quickly
Ability to use databases and do basic SQL queries
Strong exposure to Java, J2EE, SQL and databases desired
Understand the development and release lifecycle
Automation testing knowledge required
Experience using Selenium desirable
Good written and verbal communication skills
Coding or scripting knowledge desirable
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent experience
The position is based at Agiliance's headquarters in Sunnyvale, California.
Your compensation package will be based on company stage, your experiential track record and your anticipated value to Agiliance. Compensation will include cash component (bi-monthly base and annual variable), equity in the form of stock options vesting over time, and a full complement of benefits.
