.NET Architect Project Leadership Associates

Project Leadership Associates, a full service business technology solutions firm is seeking a .NET Architect at our Chicago location (downtown).
Position Synopsis:
8+ years (MS-CS) of IT and business project execution, proven success in creating solution architectures for multiple projects spanning business units, involving multiple resource pools, detailed understanding of EAI, SOA, and Messaging technologies, UML, data migration consolidation strategies/tools/techniques, full SDLC experience. At least five years of experience with SQL development.
Worked in an Agile and SCRUM environment, and is familiar with AJAX, HTML and Active X development methodologies
Expertise in enterprise, multi-threaded and distributed architecture, infrastructure deployment. Strong experience in Microsoft .Net Framework including .NET 3.5 and 4.0 Development Platform (Visual Studio), C#, C++, ASP.Net, Databases, Transact-SQL, XML, Soap, Web Services, and agile development methodologies.
Create architectural artifacts which include statements and models (rendering) depicting both logical and physical aspects of the solution with regard to data, network, work-flow, interaction, processing etc.
Develop the conceptual solution architecture, System landscape (as-is -> to-be) Process/function/system/data mapping. Identify gaps/overlaps between the as-is and to-be environment by process/function/data/technology
Identify potential architecture capability gaps, Architectural risks, assumptions, and approaches, Identify potential conflicts, interdependencies, optimization opportunities, etc.
Work with the Project Managers and Sales team members to estimate the work for a given project. Maintain and update the project schedule during the development phase. Work proactively to avoid schedule slips or cost overruns.
Excellent organizational and time management skills. Keen attention to detail, ability to document technical architectures that could be clearly understood and immediately used by developers to construct code and unit test.
Creates documented system architectures and assists in detail designs, class diagrams, use cases and coding specifications. Supports testing as identified in the development methodology. Creates overview system documentation for developed applications. Participates and may lead the effort of developing project plans with well-defined tasks, deliverables, time estimates and required resources.
Evaluates new technologies and makes recommendations. Establish and maintaining software development methodologies and life cycle. Recommends, establishes and supports software development standards and procedures. Participates and may facilitate code walk-through to ensure code standards are applied and maintained. Participates in industry groups and stays abreast of technology changes to maintain value within Software Development Practice.
Must be able to effectively interact with client representatives, project management, and fellow team members (both inside and outside of the immediate team) in the development of solutions that address the people, process, and technology needs of the organization. Success in this position is the ability to understand business challenges and translate them into process/technical solutions.
Ensures project scope and objectives are accomplished within the prescribed time frame and funding parameters.
Ensures that the developed solution successfully passes through assigned quality gates from requirement, through design/architecture, development and deployment.
Provide technical leadership for projects ensuring the adherence to methodology, while developing highly integrated, enterprise-wide applications.
Strong background and knowledge of Solution Development Life Cycle (SDLC), and its appropriate implementation in a wide variety of environments in the mid-market.
Strong background and knowledge of all aspects of software testing ? unit, component, regression, functional, systems integration and user acceptance testing.
Experience in managing offshore development ? cultural familiarity will be a big plus.
Participates in presales, proposal development, and other sales support activities.
