The Opportunity
The .Net Technical Lead is responsible for creating and maintaining external and internal .NET-based applications. Designing and coordinating with other developers to implement software design and to provide technical leadership and guidance.
Duties and Responsibilities
Author new .NET web or windows forms-based applications based on a detailed set of requirements
Analyze existing .NET applications to contribute to current projects
Troubleshoot existing .NET applications with issues reported by customers and the business
Architect new software solutions and communicate architecture to the team
Author or update documentation for new or existing applications
Construct unit tests using established unit testing framework
Work either individually or as part of a team
Construct release notes document for the business
Assist mid- or junior-level developers with issues and provides appropriate guidance
Work with Business Analyst to help resolve application issues
Lead team in technical aspects
Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends and best practices that can be used to strengthen the .Net
Education and Training
B.S. degree in developer-related major or equivalent work experience with 8+ years experience; 5+ years experience with C# and Visual Studio 2003 or later; 2+ years experience with T-SQL; 2+ years experience with ASP.NET; 1+ years experience architecting a major software project
Additional Requirements
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business requirements, professional journals, technical procedures
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Skill with .NET 2.0 or higher, C#, ASP.NET, T-SQL, SQL 2005, JavaScript, WCF, LINQ to SQL, MVC. Skill with entity modeling software (Visio, Visual Studio Team Architect, Erwin, etc?). Knowledge of unit testing frameworks (NUnit, Team Studio) and .NET unit test patterns. Knowledge of N-Tier, enterprise architecture. Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). Knowledge of Windows Server 2003 and IIS Administration. Test-Driven Development experience a plus
Willing to work overtime, holidays, and weekends when requested by Manager, Information Systems
May be required to be accessible by pager or cell phone
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
