We're looking for a business analyst experienced in accounting to join Workday's Product Management (Financials) team. Weâre looking for someone who is detailed oriented and an excellent researcher and who will ensure we are adhering to all accounting principles and best practices. As part of the product management team, you will also work closely with software engineers to turn functional specifications into next-generation business services.
Experience/Skills/Education:Â
*5+ years experience as a financials business analyst, product manager, consultant or accountant.
*Functional knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (both US and international).
*Functional knowledge in one or more of the following areas: core financials, accounts payable, accounts receivable, assets, procurement, customer contracts and revenue, projects, and/or expenses.
*Experience as an accountant and/or a degree in accounting is preferred.
*Experience with government accounting is a plus but not required.
*Fast learner, detail oriented, decisive, and enjoy a fast paced work environment.

Responsibilities:
*Research financial requirements related to accounting.
*Create and collaborate on detailed functional designs, using Agile methodologies and tools.
*Assist product managers and business analysts with accounting principles and best practices. Provide a consistent implementation in Workday and maintain detailed documentation.
*Work closely with developers and QA to ensure that all accounting is accurate.
*Work closely with automation to ensure that all accounting is automated.
*Review and follow-up on all bugs that are accounting related.
*Work effectively within and across teams to get things accomplished.
