Job title â€" QA Lab Engineer
Job duties - Work closely with developers during design and implementation of new platforms. Responsible for test leadership test scoping, design, implementation, execution debugging and automation for Engineering Lab. Troubleshoot network devices and in-house servers in Engineering Lab. Replace hardware components on Lab devices. Work with core IP services, Lab automation and configuring devices in Engineering Lab. Define test strategy and test plan for new platforms. Execute test plan and reports on new hardware projects. Provide technical scoping for new hardware projects.
Education - Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a closely-related discipline (or foreign equivalent)
Background - 1 year of experience in software quality assurance. Background in software programming; computer hardware; and computer networking. System administration in Linux or MS environment. Test automation and harness design. Black Box and System Test methodologies. Testing and releasing software products. Perl, Shell or other scripting language. C. Knowledge of the software development lifecycle. Background in DNS/DHCP protocols. OS and Unix. Knowledge of virtualization.
