Job title â€" Senior QA Engineer
Job duties - Develop and execute software test plans in order to identify software problems and their causes. Participate in new feature requirements and engineering functional and design reviews. Define test strategy and test project planning for new product features. Write detailed technical test plans for assigned features that include manual and automates tests. Lead a team of engineers to execute test plans and report on feature quality and project progress against plan. Design and develop test automation scripts using various programming languages as required. Conduct feature verification and defect management.
Education - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or any Engineering discipline (or foreign equivalent)
Background - 5 years of experience in software quality assurance. Background in developing overall project test strategy for a variety of software features and leading a team of engineers to execute the project. Background in developing test plans and detailed test cases based on IP product functional requirements and design specification. Background in developing project schedules, staffing and test lab requirements. Ability to define test plans, write detailed test cases for VoIP protocol validation, feature testing and regression of call-control features. Knowledge of IP routing and switching technologies. Work experience above must include hands-on experience designing and configuring Layer 2 and Layer 3 networks and working with multi-vendor network devices. Understanding of LAN/WAN network technologies, including TCP/IP and Ethernet. Ability to use network analyzers to pinpoint and isolate problems. Knowledge of SQL database testing and browser-based testing. Knowledge of test automation and harness design using Perl, TCL and Expect programming languages to perform regression testing.
