To help us extend our lead in the Identity Management market, Courion is seeking a (Senior) Web UX Designer to be an integral part of the Engineering team, taking a role in designing, developing, qualifying and delivering new and enhanced functionality for Courion's Access Assurance Suite. The designer will work in a team-oriented, fast-paced, flexible environment with responsibilities across the full range of the software development life cycle required to deliver industry-leading enterprise software to market.
We are looking for a self-motivated designer who is looking for a challenging career delivering enterprise class software. You will be working in an agile software development team where all team members share responsibility for design, development, test planning, test execution and documentation of the product.
Job Functions:
Work closely with product managers to understand complex functional requirements and transform them into detailed UX design specifications
Effectively communicate design recommendations using sketches, wireframes, design comps, and interactive prototypes
Create production ready assets (icons, images, themes, etc.) using industry standard design tools such as the Adobe Creative Suite
Independently manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced development environment, proactively ensuring that appropriate UX considerations are made throughout the SDLC
Help define, document, communicate, and enforce formal style guidelines
Requirements:
3-8 years of hands-on experience in User Interface and User Experience Design, Web Design, Graphic Design or related field
Usability experience strongly desired
Proven ability to create polished professional designs for shipping software products / web sites
Thorough understanding of fundamental UX design principals and usability heuristics
Ability to communicate effectively with non-designers and articulate the reasoning behind design decisions
Working experience with one of more the following technologies required:
Wireframe applications
Specific experience with Axure / Balsamiq preferred
Prototyping experience
HTML / CSS
JavaScript preferred
Fluent with graphics design tools
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop and Illustrator highly preferred
Familiarity with Agile / Scrum development processes
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Education:
Minimum 4 year degree (BS or BA) ideally in a related field (design, HCI, human factors, computer science, technical writing, psychology, etc.) or equivalent experience
