Job Responsibilities
Due to our success we are seeking a sharp, innovative Product Owner that can manage a ranked backlog of feature work for one of our four Agile teams. You will have the opportunity to work with internal stakeholders, customers, and others on the product team to prioritize and design the usability for key features. You will sit with the development team and provide the customer perspective ensuring features are produced according to design. We work in a very collaborative environment. We move quickly - shipping code weekly.
Responsibilities include:
Aggregating input from users, stakeholders and other interested parties to form a single view of the prioritized requirements for the system.
Defining and ranking the backlog
Defining acceptance criteria for stories.
Working with the team on a day-to-day basis and during Iteration Planning and Iteration Review
Prioritizing features according to market value
Accepting or rejecting work results
Representing the interests of the business in development team discussions.
Working with sales team and customers to help close deals.
Soliciting feedback from customers about requirements and improvements to existing product.
Assisting in training customers and sales on new features.
Teaming with support to relate and resolve issues from customers.
Qualifications
5+ years experience as a product owner, product manager or business analyst in a successful commercial, software environment.
Prior experience in an agile development environment.
Directly participated in multiple brand new product development efforts.
Prior design or usability experience with web applications and a passion for feature design consistency is highly desired.
Demonstrated cross-functional leadership skills.
Ability to influence and gain buy-in for initiatives.
Success working directly with stakeholders through various channels for requirements gathering, road map discussions, feature/issue assistance, and support cases.
Solid experience with software process tools defect management, testing, requirements management, etc.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
