Due to our exponential growth, we are seeking a motivated Revenue & Accounts Receivable Manager.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for oversight of customer invoicing, bookings reporting, ensuring accurate software revenue recognition, AR and collections
Manage the invoicing team to review orders, resolve issues promptly with sales and order management, and invoice customers accurately and on time
Manage the collections function and maintain or improve the AR aging
Maintain and strengthen internal controls over revenue processes, and ensure compliance with SOX
Responsible for compliance with key accounting policies including the revenue recognition policy
Review and analyze contracts for revenue recognition implications
Ensure that all deferred revenue and other related accounts are accurate and reconciled according to the monthly close schedule
Perform monthly revenue analytics on a timely basis to ensure that revenue is accurate
Review and approve all product ID modifications or additions
Perform research and stay abreast of relevant developments in software revenue recognition
Act as liaison between accounting, sales, legal, provisioning, and the executive team
Qualifications
Bachelors Degree (BA/BS) in accounting or finance
Ideal candidate will be a CPA with both private and public accounting experience and 5-8 years of experience; and minimum of 2-3 years supervisory experience
Ability to synthesize large amounts of data to provide meaningful summaries
Critical thinking and reasoning skills and the ability to think quickly and thoughtfully under pressure
Leadership skills and an ability to communicate effectively across functions
Must have prior experience with and solid understanding of software revenue recognition
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including problem identification, analysis, action planning, and execution
Proven ability to identify, communicate and implement process improvements
Must be process driven and detail oriented
Excellent listening, written and verbal communication skills
Creative and proactive approach to solving problems
Prior experience with internal control assessment, documentation and maintenance helpful
Above average Excel skills preferred; Confidence with vlookups, pivot tables and other advanced functions
Prior experience with midsize to large, high tech company billing, AR and revenue
