DESCRIPTION:Overall responsible to support full network infrastructure life cycle.
Sales and marketing support; be a technical and commercial resource for sales and marketing including assist in developing bids, assist in meetings with customers etc.
Special focus on developing and improving on solutions to reduce cost and improve capability and quality.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support full network infrastructure life cycle including but not limited to design, implementation and maintenance
Responsible for building core network infrastructure.
Responsible for all activities from installation to successful commissioning of service.
Develop and constantly improve documentation including manuals, procedures, checklists, etc.
Constantly improve technical solution to reduce cost, improve quality and increase capabilities and performance.
Ensure that any technical issues are solved and that improvements are implemented to avoid reoccurrence.
Assist NOC with troubleshooting.
If required, perform field installation and service of satellite, voice and data networks both offshore and onshore.
In emergency, assist with 24/7 NOC duty and perform on-site support to resolve any service issues within committed response time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong working knowledge of telecom voice and data services such as VSAT, Cisco and related wireless technologies.
TCP/IP, Routing (OSPF, BGP, RIP), Frame Relay, MPLS/VPN
Strong planning, analytical and technical skills with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Capable of making and defending/supporting technical and business recommendations
Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering tools and technologies and the ability to complete difficult and complex assignments
Possess strong business acumen in addition to technical competence
Customer focused and an effective communicator.
Able to maintain a professional and positive attitude.
Ability to juggle many projects, people and tasks at the same time
B.S. Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering or related sciences.
Vendor/Industry Certifications are a plus
