PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead in the planning, development and implementation of data and system security controls and practices.
Conducts technical security risk assessments and participates in development and execution of remediation plans.
Consults on security direction, maintaining a vigil over prudent assurance of the information and Information systems assets.
Develops and delivers communications corporate-wide for the successful deployment of security controls.
Analyzes gaps between current and target security architecture and develops and implements roadmaps and plans to close gaps.
Development of network security processes and procedures.
Assist NOC with troubleshooting.
Must be available 24x7 during emergency network situations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Bachelor?s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent work experience)
Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
Cisco Certified Network Professional Security (CCNP Security)
Consistent implementation of security solutions at the service provider level
3 years experience in infrastructure or application-level vulnerability testing and auditing
Strong knowledge with Cisco network equipment (ASA, firewalls, routers, switches)
Strong knowledge in service provider technologies (MPLS, QoS, Netflow etc).
Able to work independently with minimal supervision or no supervision.
Comprehensive knowledge of network engineering tools and technologies.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional overnight travel and weekend and/or evening work.

Description: This position requires a moderate amount of stamina with the ability to perform the above essential job functions and within timetables. Some overtime work may be required.

Environmental Considerations: The employee will in most cases work in a central air-conditioned building; however, may be exposed to dust, fumes or gases and to changes of weather when exposed to outdoors at job sites or other locations.
