PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Performs direct recruiting and sourcing activities for open positions by creating and driving a collaborative sourcing strategy
Generates qualified candidates through cost-effective and strategic channels including direct recruiting, employee referrals, Internet and other media advertisements, Internet data mining, outside search firms and ATS database.
Responsible for sourcing to create a pipeline of active and passive candidates. Has a comfort level with cold calling and conducts screening interviews on qualified candidates.
Markets and presents company as "choice employer" in markets across targeted populations.
Review job descriptions and edit if necessary to ensure accuracy prior to posting the requisition Coordinates and maintains all job postings in company website and external job boards.
Coordinates and participates in job fairs and recruiting events to promote vacancies.
Maintains high-touch and proactive direct communication with candidates, hiring managers and company representatives during the job/candidate cycle
Formulates a sourcing strategy for each position and ensures strategy is communicated and understood by client
Maintains awareness of current trends in recruiting, client, employment market and legislation.
Provide feedback and reporting on open positions, recruiting activities, search results, market trends, etc.
Supports North America region by facilitating all onboarding activities (from the candidate acceptance stage to the candidate?s start date).
Coordinates New Hire Orientation events at the Corporate location.
Ownership of enrolling the in-coming employee into new systems, communication of process status, and coordination of pre-employment activities.
Maintains all materials, forms and documentation needed for the New Hire Orientation and enrollment activities. Responsible for tracking, monitoring tasks, and pulling reports for business application.
Responsible for setting up the background check and drug screens; coordinates and monitors process with outside vendors;
Serves as coordinator to recruiters/hiring managers in determining how the on-boarding processes are working and recommends changes in overcoming roadblocks that hinder the process.
Responsible for addressing HR related issues with employees, such as: benefits, vacation, sick leave or other employee concerns.
Responsible for administering personnel actions such as new hires, pay changes, terminations, assignment changes, etc.
Files and ensures accuracy, organization, and compliance of HR files
Responds to and assists with Payroll requests to ensure accurate and timely payment
Manage leave program for employees. Communicate leave allowance to employee and manager when hired; provide instructions on how to submit and obtain leave of absence paperwork to employees.
Ability to develop a good understanding and working knowledge of the current Federal Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA);
Ensure that FMLA responses are prepared and distributed to employees and their departments in a timely manner.
Ensure STD approvals are promptly processed to initiate payment and then routinely monitored for potential LTD eligibility.
Assist HR VP with special HR projects.
Provides support such as drafting correspondence, responding to mail requests, filing, etc.
Completes enrollment of new hires into the required systems, and other associated tasks for new hire set-up.
Inputs and ensures accuracy of data in all HR systems (e.g. data entry, audits, clean-up, benefits data)
Creates and runs reoccurring and ad hoc reports (e.g. headcount, audit, absence, organizational)
Provide HR Scorecard and any other additional HR reports per instruction.
Acts as system admin support (troubleshoots system issues and provides access to new users).
Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have high school diploma, Bachelor?s degree preferred in Human Resources or related field. Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in HR, recruitment and HRIS function.
Previous experience with recruiting, sourcing strategies, and screening of candidates; good understanding of the full-recruitment cycle
Working Knowledge of HR concepts, processes, policies, and legislation a plus
Excellent administrative and project management skills
Working knowledge of benefits preferred
Strong computer skills (MS Office, HRIS, etc.) Proficient in the use of spreadsheets, databases, word processing, graphics and email system. Knowledgeable in other computer systems and HRIS systems
Good verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal and client service skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information in a professional manner
