SAGE Electrochromics is currently seeking a Supervisor to join the 1st shift IG team at our HVM Facility. We are looking for individuals who have experience in a manufacturing setting with the ability to produce a high quality product. Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and work in a team environment along with having good computer skills. Individuals must also have a high standard for safety.
Ensure the safe operation of the facility, correcting unsafe conditions and actions in a timely manner, ensuring all incidents are reported and investigated.
Support, live and instill the SAGE principles and values in the organization.
Results driven leader with a concentration on employee development and growth.
Complete member trimester and annual reviews on time, providing specific performance feedback to your direct reports.
Effectively cascade organizational goals down to the members of your team(s).
Complete disciplinary action(s) as needed.
Effectively communicate with your manager regarding operational performance, staffing, performance issues, inventory, and continuous improvement activities.
Ensure that the plant operations areas are kept clean and orderly at all times.
Ensure that employee training matrix is completed, up to date and posted.
Ensure that training is on-going and continuous and that it is being completed with all team members.
Responsible for the daily operation of the manufacturing and processing areas.
Responsible for creating and updating procedures. This includes working with engineering and production personnel in the creation and approval of work instructions.
Responsible for ensuring that procedures are followed on your team by establishing a routine audit of the team.
Complete production data entry and requested report information in a timely and complete manner.
Responsible for updating the production control, scheduling and inventory boards on a daily or more frequent basis.
Responsible for leading the pre-production meeting at the beginning of each shift you are assigned to and ensuring members are kept apprised of ongoing companywide developments.
Responsible for cross training a person to fill in for you in your absence.
Establish supply Kanban and maintain minimum levels of supplies without outages. Effectively work with others to ensure supply costs are minimized.
Calculate and Post manufacturing data on dashboard(s) on a daily basis.
Ensure that product schedule is completed on time with decreasing levels of variances from standard.
Determine the necessity of non-casual overtime and have approved from your manager in advance. Casual overtime is defined as 1 hour or less of up to 3 people on a non-re-occurring basis. Keep casual overtime to a minimum.
Participate in the continuous improvement of the quality of the product and processes.
Participate in future strategic planning
3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing operation
Proven commitment to implementing and achieving safety, quality, customer service and cost goals by coaching and training associates.
Previous experience in a manufacturing operation with demonstrated ability to acquire and apply manufacturing principles a plus
Demonstrated coaching skills
Demonstrated commitment to Lean Principles and Fact based problem solving
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Possesses good computer skills
Demonstrated ability to work with and motivate people
Proven ability to organize and manage multiple work cells
Bachelor?s degree in business management or engineering preferred. Associates degree with combination of experience and proven leadership capability plus continuing education may be considered.
