We are currently searching for a 2nd shift IT Support Technician for our Shepherdsville, KY facility. This is a full-time hourly position with benefits. Hours will be 3:30pm to midnight Monday ? Friday.
Maintenance of IT equipment such as PC?s, servers, networking equipment, laser printers, label printers and barcode scanners.
Troubleshooting and solving IT technical support issues both in an office and warehouse environment in local and remote locations.
Printer maintenance and support.
Troubleshooting LAN and wireless connectivity issues.
Desktop/Laptop image creation and management.
IP Phone setup and support.
Active Directory account creation and maintenance.
Installation and support of Microsoft Office, Gmail, and Google Apps and other miscellaneous software applications.
Motorola/Symbol RF scanning equipment 1st level support.
Respond to help desk incoming calls and manage ticket queues.
IT inventory control.
1st level problem resolution, support, and maintenance of the Kiva automated material handling robotic warehouse retrieval system.
Support of IT related issues with conveyor systems including in-line scanner connectivity, interface software systems, diverts, and panels.
On-call phone support rotation on some weekends and 3rd shift during peak season.
Occasional schedule changes to support peak operations and to cover vacations and illness.
An above average aptitude with PC?s and networks.
Mac experience a plus.
1-2 years of experience in technical support of PC?s and networks in a Microsoft environment.
A self-starter with proven computer and networking capabilities.
Proven ability to rapidly understand ever-changing and new technology, and quickly become an ?expert? in its use and the ability to effectively support it in a fast paced environment.
A strategic thinker who can look at a situation and identify potential issues and recommend a solution before the issue arises.
Function at a high level with minimal or no supervision. Ability to quickly assess and diagnose complex IT issues and develop and implement solutions to ensure SLA?s are maintained in a high-pressure, high-volume, fast-paced warehouse environment.
Other essential qualities include high energy, good time management skills, team player, good communication/people skills, responsible, ability to resolve problems in a timely fashion, positive attitude.
