THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED Tantalus has an immediate opening for an experienced Account Associate ideally based in the company's commercial headquarters in Raleigh, NC.
The AA role is a critical member of the Tantalus commercial team. The typical career path for the AA will most likely be development into an Account Manager function which is primarily focused on revenue generation, issue resolution and deployment management for our growing existing account base. The AA will be primarily responsible for supporting both Account Management and customer proposal preparation functions. Additional general office administrative duties will likely also be required but should make up less than 25% of this role.
The focus of the AA role will be to support the effective presentation of Tantalus? proposal responses as well as to maximize revenue by working with our Account Managers, Field Services, and Regional Sales Managers to ensure customer satisfaction accelerate deployment pace. The AA role will likely have an increasing amount of direct customer interface and will report directly to the VP of Sales. This strategically minded, self-directed professional delivers support for measureable top-line revenue growth for Tantalus and works with other stakeholders to position Tantalus for longer-term opportunities.
The AA will be responsible for supporting Tantalus? Proposal Management function and for working with Account Management to ensure high customer satisfaction with our existing customer base with a focus on maximizing revenue.
Account Management support to include: order entry, product quotation, customer call support, direct and indirect customer interface
Interaction with the Tantalus commercial team and existing customer base through direct and indirect contact and quarterly account reviews to accelerate Tantalus revenue and maximize customer satisfaction
Regional Sales Manager support which may include pipeline management, forecasting, prospecting and working with Tantalus partners and distributors to maximize Tantalus revenue
Proposal Management support to include overall proposal response coordination, organization and shipping
General small office administration including assistant support to the CEO, VP Sales and Chief Marketing Officer
Professionally represent Tantalus in all internal as well as customer facing interactions, whether in person, over the phone, or via electronic means such as e-mail.
Understand industry trends, channels, products, and competitors to support identification of business development opportunities
A small amount of travel may be required from time to time
Experience and Qualifications Required
Bachelors Degree and a strong desire to succeed and grow into a customer facing role is key
You must have prior success engaging a high-tech customer base driving revenue opportunities and customer satisfaction;Public Utility and Automated Metering Infrastructure experience a plus
You must be a motivated self-starter and driven to get things done in a team environment
You must have excellent customer facing communication skills both verbal and written
You should have excellent computer skills
