Account Executive Kapost

We are looking for inspired sales professionals who love the challenge of selling into emerging markets to join our rapidly expanding sales team. This role is responsible for selling our software and services in a specific geographical region via a hybrid inside outside model. We work with marketers and are our mission is to help them drive their top priority - generating revenue opportunities via engaging, thought-provoking, and measurable content. You will use a consultative approach to sell social content marketing software to marketing professionals. Evangelize and provide thought leadership on Content Marketing best practices.
Maximize sales into an assigned territory working with colleagues and Sales Management.
Target at least 4 hours per day on the phone with clients and prospects.
Prospect, develop opportunities, demonstrate the product, close sales and prepare appropriate documentation.
Partner with your sales development representative (SDR) to identify and penetrate top targets within your assigned geography.
Follow up on inquiries generated through web and marketing programs.
When appropriate, work closely with the Channel in assigned territory in an effort to leverage selling efforts into the area.
Keep daily record of calls and information requests sent.
Expand knowledge of industry as well as the competitive posture of the company.
Prepare activity and forecast reports as requested.
Expand customer base by identifying and selling to companies that are not current customers.
Update and maintain Sales database as appropriate.
Assist sales management in conveying customer needs to product managers, and technical staff.
Skills and Knowledge
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to excel in a team oriented atmosphere.
Strong written/verbal communications skills.
Expertise with use of sales information databases.
Education and Experience
College coursework required - BA or BS preferred.
Minimum four years sales experience in a related enterprise software industry.
Exceptional track record of targeting and closing deals with C level executives at new enterprise customers.
