eChalk has an immediate opportunity for an experienced, full-time Account Executive in Texas. The Account Executive is directly responsible for establishing and maintaining senior-level relationships with all K-12 district partners within the South/Southwest region. The focus of this position will be to enhance and build upon existing relationships resulting in client retention and add-on business. The Account Executive will be responsible for identifying opportunities to generate incremental sales growth and drive the sales process to secure contractual relationships with the account portfolio. The Account Executive will be accountable for understanding the market and client profiles and for differentiating eChalk?s product offering from competitors. The Account Executive will also be responsible for creating and executing business strategies that create value for our K-12 district partners while promoting eChalk?s brand and product offerings. This is a leader with the willingness to be actively involved in the processes needed to achieve aggressive sales goals, while also providing strategic direction. This position reports to the Director of Client Engagement.
Responsiblities
Achieve revenue, utilization and profit goals for the assigned designated territory
Proactively and responsively develop strong partnerships with K-12 district and school accounts to maximize client retention and loyalty and to ensure compelling client testimonials and endorsements
Renew and negotiate client contracts to optimize eChalk?s financial return and contract terms
Ensure clients experience the maximum return on their education technology investment and view eChalk as their strategic partner
Develop and execute a multi-year growth plan within the territory
Work cross-functionally with client engagement, marketing, product development, technology and professional learning teams to leverage the entire product line, as well as achieve market account penetration and client satisfaction
Be the external facevof the business throughout the assigned territory, developing relationships with clients. prospects and industry thought leaders within K-12
Provide market and client feedback in order to steer product and service development to meet client expectations
Continuously review performance compared to plans and objectives
Assist the Director of Client Engagement with three-year planning exercises
Requirements
For this critical role we seek an experienced business-to-business sales and marketing leader with a proven track record of success
Minimum five years demonstrated technology-selling success, preferably within K-12
Minimum five years experience directing integrated sales and marketing strategy to generate qualified opportunities and fill the sales pipeline
Minimum five years consultative sales experience, preferably within organizations that provide education, software or related products and services to K-12
Intellectual aggressiveness and track record of success identifying, proposing, negotiating and closing complex business engagements
Dynamic presentation skills and comfort dealing with all levels of an organization
Proven ability to successfully launch and sell new products or services
Ability to effectively demo technology product offerings
Working knowledge of CRM systems, Salesforce.com and sales and marketing collaboration platforms
Strong experience with Word, Excel and Powerpoint
Highly effective communicator, both written and oral, who works well in a cross-functional team environment
Impeccable attention to detail and follow-up
Tenacious work attitude and ability to function effectively under pressure
Highly innovative and proactive with the ability to meet all deadlines
Passion for K-12 education; entrepreneurial spirit a must
Ability to travel 50-60% of the time
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required; MBA a plus
