Account Executive Sparta Systems
Job Function
Sell Sparta software, services, and training within assigned accounts or territory. Generate sales through personal contact, prospecting, business case justification, demonstrations, phone calls and written proposals. Perform complete sales cycle activities from lead identification through contract negotiation, account transition to services, ongoing support and follow on sales.
Maintain relationships with existing customers within assigned accounts or territory. Serve as a liaison between all Sparta Systems, Inc. (SSI) departments and the customer to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction with all levels of customer contacts.
Essential Job Functions
Close sales in assigned accounts or territory. Meet or exceed quarterly and annual quota objectives
Negotiate contracts with customers involving Sparta legal and management team as required.
Identify new prospects and business opportunities. Conceive and implement territory-based lead generation activities for Sparta products and services. Activities may include account meetings, product demonstrations, industry meetings, prospecting, cold-calling and account research.
Assess customer needs and qualify sales opportunities.
Prepare, present and clarify quotations and all related sale documentation to customers.
Initiate, develop, and maintain relationships with prospective clients at executive levels.
Accurately forecast software, professional services and training opportunity on a quarterly basis.
Enter all activities and track all customer related issues in TrackWise CRM database in accordance with SOP?s and Sparta S3 Sales Process.
Prepare and present Territory Plans, Account Plans and Opportunity Reviews.
A thorough understanding of the target market and functional business activity is expected.
Demonstrate customer-specific benefits of Sparta solutions with a high degree of proficiency.
Must analyze and understand customer insights and market trends; adapt, communicate and evolve strategies based on these changes.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Work closely with our Solutions Consulting team to coordinate product demonstrations and workshops for perspective clients.
Travel to customer sites to conduct sales activities.
Coordinate customer support issues, installation and training schedules.
Serve as a point of contact with customers and members of the Product Support, R&D and QA departments to ensure ongoing customer satisfaction.
Coordinate customer audits and/or visits to SSI.
Represent SSI at industry trade shows and events.
Continuously learn Sparta TrackWise products, value and fit into the customer base.
Qualifications
Minimum of 3 years experience selling enterprise software solutions to large corporations and preferably to companies in the pharmaceutical, medical device industries, or other assigned industry vertical. Experience selling to C-level executives a plus.
Bachelor?s Degree in a relevant field of study.
Proven success of quota over-attainment during the past several years.
Proven success in previous sales experience demonstrated by W-2 income greater than $175K for each of the past three years. Copy of
W-2 may be requested.
Expected minimum of 2-3 years experience at each position held during previous 10 years. Customer references.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Excellent presentation, interpersonal communication, analytical, and logical skills.
Ability to clearly communicate thoughts and ideas in person, over the telephone, and in written correspondence.
Demonstrated knowledge of medical device, pharmaceutical, or biotech markets including sales within or to such companies.
Understanding of basic RA/QA principals including topics such as GxP and 21 CFR Part 11.Ability to work independently. Self-starter with excellent prioritization and time management skills.
At ease establishing business relationships with individuals from various industries & departments and at various corporate levels.
Comfortable speaking before an audience of between 2?50 people in either a live meeting or teleconference setting.
Well versed in Windows and Internet technologies.
Skilled with MS Office, particularly Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
