About this position:
Foursquare is building a world class sales organization with a mission of reinventing the way marketers connect with consumers at a hyper local level. Our Account Executives will have the unique opportunity to pioneer and contribute to our initial monetization efforts by selling and managing Foursquare?s evolving suite of ad products to small and medium business (SMBs). You?ll be responsible for building and maintaining your own book of business, assisting in the development new sales collateral, and drive the scaling of our Local Sales efforts.
Full-cycle inside sales (prospect, cold call, qualify, and close deals) of Foursquare's suite of ad products to small and medium sized businesses, with occasional travel for in-person appointments around the greater NYC area.
Manage and maintain closed deals, providing best in-class service to up-sell and enhance campaign performance
Forecast, track and report sales performance, helping shape the development of Foursquare's monetization strategy as we build and iterate different marketing strategies for SMBs
Consult with internal players to identify the challenges of our advertising offerings and provide solutions for enhancing and scaling our local sales efforts.
1-2 years experience selling local advertising products. Ideal candidates will have experience in digital sales, advertising, and selling over the phone and/or within the Restaurants, Retail, and Hospitality categories.
Desire and passion for Sales. Strategic thinker that can evangelize and sell products that may be new to marketers, and a competitive zeal for closing deals.
Experience with Salesforce or CRM systems for documenting conversations, account and campaign activity.
Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, and organizational skills, and a strong commitment to detail
Self-motivated, team player comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
Extremely professional and positive demeanor
Track record of over-achievement
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience
