Lucid Imagination is the commercial company behind Apache/Lucene Solr, the world?s leading open source search platform. These cutting edge technologies power critical search apps at thousands of businesses worldwide both large and small ? including Netflix, IBM, Twitter, LinkedIn, and dozens of other household names. Our team includes leading contributors and committers to the Lucene project, as well as experts in enterprise search, distributed computing, and scalability.
The Account Executive will work as a part of the Lucid Imagination sales team to drive sales. This person will have the primary responsibility to generate direct revenue from Lucid Imagination?s product suite. The opportunity is for a motivated, passionate, execution-oriented seasoned business development executive to close deals for sales of Lucid Works software to enterprise accounts as well as OEM and strategic partnerships.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sell Lucid Works Platform to enterprise search customers
Identify, influence, pitch and close deals with prospects by leveraging technical resources and your consultative ability
Consult with prospects to determine needs and alignment with Lucid?s capabilities and products.
Respond to inbound activities and lead responses to RFPs and RFIs
Use CRM systems for activity tracking, pipeline reporting and forecasting
Structure strategic deals with key customers/partners for OEM/embedded opportunities.
Develop and manage pipeline for territory
Work with marketing to provide useful feedback to make lead generation activities better
Carry a regional quota
QUALIFICATIONS
4+ years of business development or strategic account sales experience
Hands-on, field-based technical experience a plus i.e. solutions architect or sales engineering
Enterprise search sales experience a huge plus
Understanding of the role and opportunity for search in solving specific customer problems (eCommerce, BI etc)
Knowledge and passion for emerging technologies, and applicability in solving problems
Experience selling software products and services to large, enterprises
Must have excellent verbal communication / presentation skills
A self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, high growth company
Someone who can both define strategy and drive execution of new business initiatives ? someone who can ?figure it out? and ?get it done?
A strong, verifiable track record of managing complex, revenue generating relationships
Referencable relationships with relevant technology companies
Experience defining, implementing and managing go-to-market activities
Technical understanding of various IT architectures, data center operations and cloud services
Ability to effectively lead cross-functional teams
