As an Account Executive, you'll drive and grow new business revenue with Fortune 1000 brands and the agencies that represent them. You understand and anticipate how marketing decisions are made, and you will persistently explore and uncover the business needs of your key clients. This is a high-adrenaline, client-facing sales role requiring meaningful online ad sales expertise, proven sales ability with a particular aptitude for closing deals, and a broad base of advertiser and agency contacts.
Responsibilities
Cultivate trusted high-level relationships with major advertisers and agencies that result in significant advertising commitments.
Create consultative sales presentations using market trends, case studies and StumbleUpon data.
Analyze campaign performance statistics and recommend optimized solutions.
Provide and share key learnings and best practices with your peers.
Ensure that our clients receive the highest level of sales and operational customer service.
Execute and deliver high-quality answers to all RFPs.
Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to drive revenue growth with new and existing customers.
Serve as the eyes, ears and mouth of StumbleUpon?s advertisers in ongoing product and technology planning efforts.
Requirements
Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent work experience with a strong academic record.
3-5+ years of media sales.
Experience in and knowledge of search, display and social media advertising.
Relationships with top marketing decision makers at traditional brands and agencies. Bonus points for relationships with Entertainment, CPG, Retail and/or Travel brands.
Proven track record of driving meaningful incremental revenue by acquiring new clients.
Demonstrated ability to convert clients' spends from other mediums (including but not limited to TV and magazines) into StumbleUpon marketing relationships.
Extremely proactive, motivated, organized, responsible, and able to work well in a flat, fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Strong understanding of StumbleUpon user behavior and product functionality.
Passion for StumbleUpon and its mission.
Willing to travel. Based in LA, NY or SF.
