Account Manager PeopleMatter
The Account Manager is responsible for identifying, developing and closing cross-sell and up-sell business opportunities, while also nurturing customer contacts for the purpose of maintaining the customer relationship and driving referral business. This position requires someone who is confident, tenacious, highly organized, comfortable speaking and presenting to current clients and prepared to be on a highly driven sales team. The Account Executive reports to a Director of Sales.
Duties and responsibilities
Sell products and services to an assigned geographic base territory ranging in size from $5k to $50k per deal
Develop a deep knowledge of and present PeopleMatter?s product offerings and competitive advantages
Ability to articulate a customized value proposition to two very different audiences: HR and C-Level Execs
Identify new business opportunities by creating and implementing territory campaigns
Develop a thorough understanding of each account?s industry and business
Create and maintain accounts in Salesforce
Log and track all activity in Salesforce
Use understanding of internal processes and resources to effectively execute the sale
Sell products via GoToMeeting and Telephone
Travel: 10%, for occasional trade shows
All other duties as assigned

To perform the job successfully, an individual should possess the following competencies required to strategically and tactically execute the essential functions of this position.
College degree or equivalent experience
Two or more years experience positioning, selling and/or implementing complex technology and/or software solutions. Preference given to those with experience selling SaaS/PaaS
Domain expertise in the Human Capital Management space is a plus
Positive and professional demeanor
Excellent communication skills with the ability to propose clear, compelling and value-focused solutions
Excellent time-management skills with the discipline to handle multiple tasks and adapt quickly to change in a fast paced environment
Experience utilizing sales tracking tools
