Title: Accounting Manager
Reporting to:Senior Manager, Accounting
We are seeking an accounting manager to help out with G/L, month end close, consolidation and financial reporting, AP and payroll review. This position reports to the Senior Manager, Accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review journal entries and account reconciliations
- Prepare intercompany schedule, transfer pricing calculation and FX revaluation
- Review payroll, check runs, ACH payments and account coding
- Support budget and forecast activities
- Review and reconcile transactions integrated among systems and BI data
- Manage month-end close checklist and calendar, address tight deadlines of the close cycles
- Ensure proper cutoff and capturing of expenses
- Review capex records, depreciation expense reasonableness, prepare consolidated rollforward schedules
- Review Canada entity financial and prepare monthly review package
- Prepare quarterly balance sheet and P&L flux analyses
- Prepare supporting schedules for financial reviews, audits and tax returns
- Assist with worldwide consolidations
- Develop procedure documentations and recommend changes to improve processes
- Assist with SOX documentations and draft policies
- Assist with supporting the finance team on utilization of new ERP system, on-going reporting requirements, responding to users' questions and issues, managing and maintaining chart of accounts and reporting structure
- Special projects as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting
- 12+ years accounting/finance experience required
- CPA or MBA a plus, but not required
- Broad expertise knowledge of accounting theory and GAAP
- Ability to contribute to development of company objectives and principles and achieve goals creatively and effectively
- Ability to work on significant and unique issues that require analysis of situations or data requires evaluation of intangibles
- Ability to exercise independent judgment in methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for decision making and obtaining results
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to interface cross functionally within the organization and outside customers and vendors
- Advance in MS Excel and strong ERP system skills
- SOX compliance experience
