This position is primarily responsible for identifying customer needs and mobilizing resources to meet and/or exceed Company and Customer expectations. Focuses on the customer relationship and commands the skills necessary to further Appriss? growth of business through its services and propel excellent customer service.
oBS or BA degree in communications, education, or related field, or equivalent experience.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, Experience, or Characteristics
o4 years of experience in customer service, project management, or sales.
oExperience in training, community education and/or public relations.
oAbility to effectively leverage technology to build strong relationships with the accounts in its portfolio.
oMust possess an understanding of Appriss? technology strategy and be able to articulate its benefits to all customers.
oWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office.
oExperience working with databases is preferred.
oStrong organizational and customer management skills.
oExcellent written and oral communicator.
oProven willingness and ability to assume ownership of accounts.
oProven willingness and ability to make positive contributions in a team environment.
oAbility to perform multiple tasks.
oAbility to provide leadership to support the Appriss strategy.
Functions and Responsibilities
1.The Account Manager II is a customer advocate and liaison between the customer and Appriss. He or she performs 360-degree communication with the customer and Appriss and provides account leadership and direction.
2.Majority of work is dedicated to customer contact; in the field, on site in Louisville, conference calls, emails, etc.
3.Sells solutions to clients according to booking plan and pipeline as well as develops plans to increase solution usage across existing customers.
4.Assists clients with support issues and champions new initiatives
5.Continually looks for ways to improve products, processes, tools, and communication; initiates and drives implementation of improvements.
6.When barriers to accomplishment are encountered, is willing to introduce and implement a solution throughout sphere of influence.
7.Seeks training to improve self and others, both professionally and personally.
8.Works with the Appriss Trainers to develop and design alternative training programs for their accounts and products (via online training, CD-ROM, Internet, extranet, etc.).
9.Repurpose existing Power Points for presentations
10.Creates, distributes, and receives completed customer surveys; works with appropriate departments to develop programs in response to regular and special customer surveys.
11.The Account Manager requires minimal supervision from the Manager of Account Services. The Account Manager is expected to take initiative for global and team needs as appropriate. The Account Manager is recognized as a leader.
