Account Manager Everyday Health

Our quickly growing Local Division is looking for an Account Manager to support the Client Services efforts. This position reports into the Client Services Director.
The ideal candidate:
Must be able to handle an existing and growing client base; and can make and keep them happy
Is detail oriented, has excellent organizational skills
Is a people person; loves clients, people, and friendly, upbeat
Is great with documentation and follow up
Is very knowledgeable of Digital Services
Has a very good Sales skill; ability or inclination to soft sell value added services
Is process-oriented
Is ambitious, self-motivated, proactive, assertive and passionate about client support
Has extraordinary interpersonal communication skills, strong verbal and written skills
Has superb problem-solving abilities
Must be able to work as part of a team, share ideas, offer and take constructive reviews and work independently to assure client?s services are delivered in a timely manner
Responsibilities:
Support Sales and Client Services Manager with the following day-to-day activities.
Calling all new clients to welcome them and initiate a relationship that will result in an upsell
Maintaining the relationship by communicating good news to clients as well as periodic check-ins
Facilitating value added services when appeasing poorly performing clients and when clients are unhappy for any reason
Following up on improved stats from previous complaints made by clients
Handling all client Issues ? central control, handling initial issue (bringing roar to simmer), distributing tasks to Production, Marketing and/or Sales, developing Master file and follow-up until client is satisfied
Creating interest in clients for up sells into additional packages to pass on to the sales account executive (there is an element of sales in this position and a portion of your compensation will be based on the sale of additional services to existing clients)
Maintaining an organized and prioritized list of all client correspondence so things never ?fall through the cracks?
Qualifications:
Exceptional Account Management/Client Support experience is required. Some Client sales experience is preferred. This is a full-time position. Monday ? Friday with occasional travel. We offer a friendly work environment and a great career path with a successful, high-energy, expanding company.
