Account Manager - Multi-Channel - FaxMaker GFI Software
Reports to: Director of Sales, Americas

The Account Manager is responsible for generating revenue for GFI FaxMaker by closing sales at defined monthly quotas, while meeting activity targets and ensuring Partner and Customer satisfaction. The position proactively reviews incoming leads and determines the appropriate channel for fulfilment based on the request of the Customer and Partner performance. Contact prospects, customers and partners as well as responding to incoming calls and emails in an effort to increase revenue.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Sell and service accounts via phone and email, direct and through channel partners. Take incoming calls from prospects responding to sales inquiries; make out-bound calls to facilitate sales.
Learn and maintain in-depth knowledge of GFI products and technologies, competitive products and technologies, and industry trends.
Follow up on leads and opportunities daily; contact and up sell existing customers on GFI product suite.
Maintain an accurate Territory pipeline using Salesforce.com. This includes data integrity and updating customer and Partner contacts as it relates to leads, opportunities and account information.
Grow territory selling footprint by leveraging channel partners in sales process where able. Maintain an updated Territory plan that accurately reflects product and sales coverage.
Develop business relationships with Partners. Maintain Partner communication via phone queue, emails and for top Partners a formal quarterly business review (QBR).
Develop marketing techniques and identify new ways to promote GFI FaxMaker.
Identify new accounts in CRM and close sales. Maintain quality contacts with key decision makers as designated to that opportunity in your pipeline. Employ company resources as needed to close sales.
Responsible for Channel Program deployment and execution. This includes pricing, product knowledge transfer, marketing campaigns and promotions.
Manage relationship with large network of distributors, integration partners, and resellers
Prepare complete and accurate reports as requested.
Prospect for new accounts through personal sales calls, networking, marketing research and email campaigns.
Engage in technical sales discussions with potential clients via conference call or web demonstration; leveraging Sales Engineering resources where needed. This resource requires scheduling as well as briefing the SE prior to the call. All Partner and Customer conferences are to be clearly documented in Salesforce.com.
Submit quotes to customers and prospects as needed using the GFI online ordering tool, and prepare, submit sales orders via the designated process.
Work to maintain high level of customer satisfaction by assisting with customer requests, complaints, and escalations
Attend sales meetings, training sessions as required. On occasion, these sales meetings are held during non-business hours including weekends.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Ability to travel up to 20%
Proficiency and knowledge of MS Office and Outlook
Excellent phone/ email /customer service skills.
Strong organizational, managerial, and personal skills to successfully communicate and negotiate with internal and external customers.
Able to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
Hours are according to region needs and may include some Holidays
Strong oral and written communication skills
Ability to work with and handle confidential information including credit card transactions.
Education / Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferred.
Knowledge of software industry strongly preferred
Minimum 3 years? experience in sales or sales support role required with demonstrated results in the needs-based and consultative selling process preferred. Basic understanding of territory management (planning, prospecting, and closing) preferred.
Experience in software as a service (SaaS) strongly preferred.
