Account Manager Brightfarms
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED BrightFarms is seeking an Account Manager who will provide our clients with fanatical customer service while helping to maximize the value of our greenhouse operations. This is an exiting opportunity to be part of a rapidly expanding company that is turning the produce supply chain on its head. The Account Manager will manage the day-to-day interaction with our clients. The Account Manager must be good with numbers and people, experienced finding buyers for produce, and have strong time management and communication skills.

Major Duties & Responsibilities
Ensure our clients receive the highest levels of service, from harvest forecast to product delivery.
Become experts on how our clients operate, including ordering procedures, delivery inspections, dispute resolution, and quality assurance procedures.
Route product volume to current clients based on contracted volumes, reconciling harvest forecasts against delivered volumes.
Understand standard packaging specifications and produce shipping and receiving logistics.
Develop relationships with new clients, ensuring we have buyers for surplus volumes of produce at competitive prices.
Manage the introduction of new product lines, including negotiating prices, amending contracts, and understanding consumer buying habits.
Work with our greenhouse growers to ensure quality assurance, detect and address potential problems expeditiously, and resolve technical disputes.
Help run promotions with clients.
Support our marketing and PR teams in maximizing the effectiveness of in-store displays.

Excellent grasp of produce prices, specifications, and packaging.
Strong interpersonal and phone skills.
Excellent negotiating skills.
Computer skills, especially Excel.
Must be able to communicate effectively in writing.
Ability to thrive in high pressure situations with tight deadlines.
Good time management and organizational skills.

Education and/or Experience
Smart, dedicated, hard-working individual who values fresh, flavorful, high quality produce.
Ideal candidates have 3 ? 5 years of experience with an established grower/shipper selling high volumes of produce to major retailers.
Demonstrable experience selling and negotiating prices for produce.
Salary commensurate with experience.
