Account Manager

Description: Job Summary:

Generates, protects and grows revenue by maintaining and expanding opportunities from within existing subscription accounts. Owns the customer relationship and ensures customer satisfaction and retention through fulfillment of orders, delivery of training, and understanding individual user requirements. Assists in the customization of user preferences by building and maintaining alert filters.

Job Requirements:

2-5 years of direct customer contact with experience growing revenue from an existing customer base
Ability to meet a quota, to "smell the money" that might not be readily apparent, and close incremental revenue deals
Track record of building productive working relationships that solidify renewal deals and timely alerts to Sales Reps for upsell opportunities
Must be an expert users of MS Outlook, MS Word and Excel
Must be a web surfing guru who knows or can master Boolean search expressions
Organized individual who can a handle high-volume of alert emails, and track and distribute relevant, breaking news stories
Knowledge of the PR or Corporate Communications industry a plus
Excellent verbal and written skills
Does what it takes to meet monthly quota (e.g. "Why would I leave at 6:00 pm when I can call clients on the West coast")
