Foursquare's Local Sales team is like the startup within our small company. We're building everything from scratch and doing what feels right for the success of our customers. World class service is key to that success. This Account Manager role is an extremely unique opportunity to help our efforts by supporting a growing Sales team and evangelizing Foursquare?s evolving suite of ad products to small and medium sized business (SMBs).
We're looking for a super smart, customer service oriented individual with proven analytical experience to be the first of a new breed of local sales client services. While our team is reinventing the way businesses connect with consumers at a hyper local level, you'll be responsible for ensuring best-in-class relationship management and upkeep of existing ad campaigns. By working independently behind the scenes of our local sales team, you'll report on campaign performance & inventory allowances, partner with individual sellers to engage, retain, & up-sell SMB advertisers, establish processes and set an operational foundation that will scale with the growth of our business.
Support a growing team of inside sales associates, proactively monitoring campaign performance, resolving inventory and billing issues, and managing large books of business
Monitor, traffic and optimize thousands of live advertising campaigns for small & medium sized businesses, prioritizing revenue retention and growth
Assist in on-boarding and educating merchants on Foursquare's ad products, identifying ways to improve their return on investment
Identify product and merchant experience improvements through interactions with Sales and advertisers
Develop and manage new internal processes and best practices that can scale, such as CRM best practices, customer relationship building, territory forecasting, category growth and new vertical penetration, creating engaging collateral and sales materials etc.
Initiate and maintain ?WOW customer service moments? for our clients
Excellent communication, presentation, prioritization, & organizational skills, and a strong commitment to detail
Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, specifically Excel (Functions, Pivot Tables, Scenario Analysis, etc.)
Familiar and comfortable spending a big part of your day in CRM systems, such as Close.io & Salesforce
A team player comfortable in a small, intense and high-growth start-up environment
Customer service oriented - extremely professional, positive and empathetic to our core customer & internal teams.
An entrepreneurial and strategic thinker that is self-motivated & highly ambitious
Desire and passion for social media, specifically Foursquare
Bachelors degree with a strong academic record and many examples of overachievement
1-2 years experience in finance, operations, or managing digital advertising programs within a technology platform, media company, or ad agency preferred
Analytically minded and experienced with SQL & relational databases preferred (additional bonus points for experience with Hive)
