The Account Manager brings a wealth of expertise to the largest and most strategic customers of Mashery.
About you:
You should be comfortable at both consulting and negotiating with C level executives, backed by a strong understanding of their business objectives. You should be able to articulate value, inspire and sell the future and potential of API management as SaaS. You should possess strong application functional expertise, expertise in business application deployment cycles, as well as strong account management expertise.
Responsibilities:
Develop a trusted advisor relationship with customer executive sponsors such that all Mashery activities are closely aligned with the customer's business case and business strategy, allowing the full potential of their Mashery solution to be realized
Establish a post-implementation adoption activities such that the overall success of the customer's API initiative can be closely monitored including visibility to the executive sponsors
Serve as a customer advocate in driving industry best practices and the evolution of Mashery product and platform functionality integral to the customer's success
Facilitate the development of a vertical industry community of like Mashery customers, routinely sharing best practices and leveraging lessons learned
Ensure that all customers within territory derive maximum value from their investment in Mashery while identifying and growing opportunities within territory and collaborating with sales teams to ensure growth attainment
Possess a comprehensive understanding of the Mashery products and services
Understand customer requirements, level of adoption of the Mashery service and assess the risk in renewing the current contract
Work with the customers to ensure they are leveraging the solution and achieving success and engaging fee-based resources as necessary
Successfully negotiate renewal contracts and pricing
Identify and drive platform opportunities
Participate in field marketing events within region
Requirements:
8 years relevant work experience with 3 years experience in a account management
Proven effectiveness at leading and facilitating executive workshops
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Possess strong presentation skills and credibility with C-level executives
BA/BS degree, MBA a plus
