Account Manager Xignite
THIS JOB HAS EXPIRED In the key role of Account Manager at Xignite, you will get to serve as an internal consultant to our existing subscriber base with the expectation of up-selling applicable solutions based upon client feedback and interaction. We want you to be the specialist that knows our clients better than anybody, keeps them happy by solving problems before they arise, and knows what products will be a best-case scenario fit for their business needs. With a consultative approach, you will help them to understand how Xignite can help them do what they do better, cheaper, and more efficiently. You are a highly motivated person who likes to work their book of business while assisting them to leverage their new and existing project needs. This role is a combination of hand-holding the customer and pulling them along to necessary actions based upon need that they might not even know they have at the current moment. Your added empathy for your customers is a trait that helps you relate to them better, especially if they are frustrated or less tech savvy because you have an ability to communicate complex technical problems in a ?customer friendly? language. It is the relationships that you build with the customers, which is why we are successful we have a high level of subscription retention and satisfaction.
? Work with clients in a consultative manner in the sales renewal and new services process, including understanding customer needs, accurately forecasting near-term and long-term product fits based upon client business models, and answering customer questions about product capabilities via email or phone, responding to RFIs and RFPs, demonstrating product capabilities to prospects face to face or via web meetings, articulating unique benefits of Xignite solutions, and developing presentations and proposals.
? Retain existing revenue through proactive contract renewals, effectively articulate complex information to a variety of technical and non-technical users and work with the Sales & Management teams to properly forecast and manage the P&L of assigned accounts. Participate in all appropriate product, sales, and procedural training to acquire and maintain the knowledge necessary to be effective in the position.
? Work with the Sales team and Product Management team to identify and define unique customer needs or product gaps, evaluate alternate data sources, define contractual terms around the delivery of new features and functions and follow through during the post-sales implementation.
? Step into building relationships by managing the needs of new and current customers. Continually work towards achieving post-sales goals, consulting and training with customers and employees. Attend customer and market events such as conferences and hackathons.
? Attain quarterly and annual objectives assigned by management.
? You MUST live in the San Francisco Bay Area!
? BA or BS Degree
? Minimum 5 years previous experience in the market data industry
? Minimum 2 years previous experience in a sales, sales engineering, support, consulting, or technical capacity with a SaaS or cloud services company or a financial technology company, and a background with customer-facing responsibilities.
? Solid understanding of APIs, data feeds, cloud technology, mobile apps and web technologies.
? Solid understanding of HTTP, XML, and JSON and intuitive knowledge of popular programming environments and languages.
? Successful track record of leading and managing a portfolio of customer accounts.
? Solid oral, written, presentation and interpersonal communication skills.
? Ability to work as part of a team to solve technical problems in a hands-on manner.
? Solid experience using Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
? Experience using Salesforce.com.
