Reporting directly to the Controller, you will participate in the daily accounting, auditing, internal control, and reporting and analysis functions of the Finance Department. This role will actively contribute to the growth and development of the Finance team, and the establishment, creation and implementation of new processes, procedures and internal control initiatives. This exciting role will provide you with hands-on experience and exposure to all aspects of the strategic accounting and auditing functions. Job Description:
Manage key areas of the monthly financial close to ensure timely and accurate reporting on general ledger and financial results.
Responsibilities include account analysis and reconciliations, preparation of journal entries and financial statements and maintenance of the financial database.
Assist with the preparation and development of key management reports.
Manage key areas of banking relationships and compliance functions.
Assist with international accounting and reporting issues and processes.
Assist with equity reporting, processing and management.
Deliver technical research summaries and analysis as needed.
Review and analyze financial trends and variances and keep management informed.
Participate in the investigation, review and resolution of issues as required.
Assist with the successful completion of the year-end audit, and schedule requests of external auditors.
Ensure accounting policies and procedures are being consistently followed and adhered to.
Assist with the establishment, documentation and continuously improvement of all financial processes, workflows and forms.
Special projects as required.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance required
2-4 years of accounting/finance experience in Public Accounting
CPA or active CPA candidates required
Strong working knowledge of GAAP
Strong working knowledge of IFRS a plus
Must be detail oriented, with strong analytic and problem-solving skills
Must be a self-starter with the ability to work efficiently and with minimal supervision
Must have strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task
Must have outstanding communication and presentation skills and comfort interacting with clients and colleagues in a professional and helpful manner
Must have excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a team-oriented environment
Must have World-class "Four Seasons"-type customer service approach that employees and vendors rave about
Must have solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Power Point)
Experience with NetSuite or similar accounting package a plus
