elationship marketing. We are currently accepting resumes from proven Accounting professionals to independently manage all day-to-day accounting operations to ensure timely completion and accurate data, and supervise accounting staff to ensure efficient and effective completion of duties.
Description: ? Set/adjust priorities for subordinate staff and make decisions/recommendations on ways to address unfamiliar situations based on SOPs, policies, established practices/procedures, and/or prior training.
? Oversee the Accounts Receivable activities performed to ensure accounting procedures are followed and the timely management of aging components, including:
o A/R, credit, billing, collections activities
o Cash receipts, write-offs, payment reversals, coding and posting
o Monitor credit checks on customers and recommend limits
o Perform monthly cash reconciliation
? Oversee the Accounts Payable activities performed to ensure the accurate and timely processing of invoices, expense reports, etc., month-end closing, A/P roll-forward, and check register reconciliation
? Complete General Ledger activities, including posting journal entries in Monarch, maintaining fixed asset ledger in coordination with A/P personnel, preparing schedules for reporting of fixed assets, and maintaining the fixed asset depreciation schedules, including new purchases and disposals.
? Collaborate with the Inventory Management team on the shop floor and with shop floor managers to ensure timely and accurate month-end counts and adjustments.
? Prepare for, and participate in, the auditors' year-end audit
? Perform balance sheet accounts reconciliations
? Randomly audit work-flow to ensure that all accounting transactions are appropriately authorized
? Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing
? Assist in year-end audits per Controller's direction
? Work on special projects as needed
? Maintain vendor and customer relations
? Coordinate activities with the Tennessee office, including occasional travel
Responsibilities: ? Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent combination of education and experience
? Two to four years of experience in public/private accounting
? Demonstrated general accounting knowledge, ideally in a manufacturing environment
? Strong communication and interpersonal skills
? Strong organizational and time management skills
? Proficiency in MS Excel and Word
