Accounting Intern
The accounting intern performs duties to support the finance team and help the team meet defined objectives.
Responsibilities
Assist in the daily accounting responsibilities, including:
Bank transactions
Accounts payable processing
Expense report processing
Inventory tracking
Fixed asset capitalization processing
Assist in month end closing responsibilities, including:
Balance sheet reconciliations
Depreciation calculations
Reporting and analysis
Other accounting activities as identified by finance team management
Experience and Education Requirements:
Candidate must have a desire to understand and experience all aspects of accounting
Strong problem solving skills
Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interpersonal
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Quickbooks a plus
Ability to work on own initiative and meet deadlines
Attention to detail
Excellent team player
