Accounting Manager, Accounting Greenway Medical Technologies
Determines financial status by developing accounting systems; supervising accounting processes; reviewing and analyzing financial reports; as well as ensuring the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
- Previous experience working under Sarbanes-Oxley compliance is preferred and highly favored
Duties:
- Accomplishes finance objectives by orienting, and training, employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.
- Prepares and records asset, liability, revenue, and expense entries by compiling and analyzing account information
- Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts; preparing a trial balance; reconciling entries.
- Summarizes financial status by collecting information; preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements.
- Assists with external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts; providing information for auditors.
- Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential.
- Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
- Meets finance operational standards by contributing information to strategic financial plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying system improvements.
- Meets budget requirements by providing annual budget information; monitoring expenditures; identifying variances; implementing corrective actions.
- Accomplishes accounting requirements by designing and maintaining accounting processes, including journal entries and general ledger, billing, collections, accounts payable, and accounts receivable; performing bank reconciliations and closing processes; supporting annual budget process; developing and maintaining forecasts and models; ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Practices (GAAP);
- Establishes financial condition by preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, cash flow, and consolidated statements, and supporting schedules; comparing actual results to budget projections; developing summaries and interpretations.
- Improves financial condition by analyzing financial reports and variances; revising accounting policies and practices and internal control procedures.
- Completes statutory requirements by preparing and filing 10K, 10Q, and SEC reports; reviewing and submitting tax filings.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging accounting practices; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies.
- Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
