Summary:
Reporting to the Worldwide Controller, this role is a leadership role within the Americas Accounting team, supervising the general ledger, accounts payable and payroll functions.
Qualification Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors? degree in accounting, finance or business.
Experience:
Minimum total experience of 5 years with a minimum of 3 years of relevant supervisory experience.
Skills:
Functional Skills
Strong technical GAAP knowledge along with the ability to practically implement new and emerging GAAP
Experience working in and supervising accounts payable and payroll functions
Knowledgeable with MS Office products and ideally, proficient with Oracle
Ability to clearly communicate and document accounting positions
Behavioral Skills:
Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Self motivated and able to work with little or no supervision
Licensures, Certifications:
Certified Public Accountant, preferred
Essential Duties & Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
Responsible for the timely and accurate monthly general ledger close process.
Responsible for the preparation and review of certain significant accounting estimates (such as allowance for doubtful accounts, etc.).
Reviews and approves journal entries and account reconciliations.
Responsible for the preparation of monthly balance sheet and income statement variance analyses.
Responsible for participating in the cash forecasting process
Actively participates in annual audits and in the compilation of internal and external financial statements and related schedules.
Responsible for leading or participating in ad hoc project teams addressing operational or financial issues, as necessary.
Participates in information systems conversions and implementation teams and develops departmental procedures as necessary.
