ACCOUNTING MANAGER Audience

Job DescriptionFast growing semiconductor company is looking to add a new position to their growing finance group. The accounting manager will be one who is self-reliant and intimately familiar with the day-to-day transactions that originate within an Accounting department of a public company.
Responsibilities
Month-end: Oversee the daily activities of accounting department including operating expenses, accruals, prepaids and fixed assets. Reviews and approves journal entries and balance sheet account reconciliations. Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities. Maintains a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure. Assist in reviewing the balance sheet and income statement fluctuation analysis and other analysis of financial results.
Audit: Coordinate the quarterly reviews and annual audits with external auditors.
Process improvement: Monitor and analyzes department work to develop more efficient procedures and use of resources while maintaining a high level of accuracy.
Experience in evaluating and streamlining process and systems, developing and implementing policies and procedures to achieve operational efficiencies.
Controls: Implement internal controls in preparation for Sarbanes-Oxley 404 compliance.
SEC reporting: Prepare and review the 10Q/10K, including preparation of financial statements, footnotes and publication.
International accountants: Manage relationship with international accountants and 3rd party consultants.
Technical accounting: Excellent knowledge of US GAAP and applicable SEC regulations. Assist drafting the company?s policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
Systems: Assist with implementation of Tier I ERP system.
Supervise: accounting staff and assist with training and team development
Taxation: assist Sr. Tax Manager with preparation of federal, state and local filings.
Experience, Skills and Education Required

6 to 7+ years experience in accounting field (include 2+ years of management experience). Previous experience as an accounting manager in an emerging public technology company, preferably in a fabless semiconductor environment.
Experiences with consolidated accounting, Sarbanes-Oxley and SEC reporting preferred.
Prior management of domestic and international staff preferred.
Ability to adapt to the rapid business and organization changes that accompany a high growth environment
Effective problem solving, methodical, detail-oriented, and analytical
Ability to lead and guide the finance team
Strong PC-based software background (MS Excel and Word, Great Plains, Oracle).
Bachelors in Business, Finance or Accounting; MBA is a plus.
