Kiva Systems, Inc. uses game-changing automation technology for distribution centers that helps companies simplify operations and reduce costs while increasing strategic flexibility. Using hundreds of autonomous mobile robots and sophisticated control software, the Kiva Mobile-robotic Fulfillment System enables extremely fast cycle times with reduced labor requirements, from receiving to picking to shipping.Responsible for the monthly closing process (including preparation of monthly internal financial statements and parent company reporting) and supervising the day to day activities of the accounting staff. This position will report to the Corporate Controller.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Coordination of accurate and timely monthly close, including monitoring the activities of 3 staff accountants
Preparation of monthly financial reporting package, reviewed by CFO and leadership team
Ensure books and records are in compliance with GAAP
Review and posting all journal entries
Oversight of the account reconciliation process
Responsible for the accounting for customer orders, including revenue recognition, invoicing and cash collections
Oversee the day to day operations of the accounting staff
Advises staff regarding the handling of non-routine reporting transactions.
Work with each direct report to establish goals and objectives for each year, and then monitor and advise on the progress to enhance the professional development of staff.
Participate in projects with cross functional teams to drive operational improvement and enhance financial procedures.
Other duties will be assigned.
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in accounting
Public accounting background and CPA license are strongly preferred
Strong PC skills, including Microsoft Excel and Word
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
5-7 years of experience
