The manager in Corporate Accounting will be responsible for managing day to day accounting operations including cash accounting, lease accounting, fixed assets, expenses, accruals, managing equity accounting, intangibles, and goodwill reporting.
Responsible for day to day accounting operations and coordination with consolidations team member and international accounting partners
Responsible for managing month end close and oversight of status
Responsible for putting together month end close and reporting packages.
Recommend to management any updates to accounting policies and changes of accounting rules
Identify and implement process changes as a result of the following: new business activities and new reporting/accounting requirements (such as new lease accounting rules, if implemented)
Support special projects and processes improvement initiatives
Work closely with all accounting/finance staff and hands-on in all accounting areas and general ledger
Regulatory filings
Continuous process improvement
Planning and managing deadlines; project management
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Finance/Accounting with 8+ years of progressive experience in financial reporting. Solid knowledge of accounting policies/procedures and financial statements, CPA preferred
SEC/Public company experience is required
Strong organizational skills with an ability to plan and perform multiple tasks
Strong financial analytical skills
Netsuite experience preferred
Strong knowledge of MS Office applications, especially Excel
Excellent oral, written, analytical, organizational and interpersonal skills
Ability to exercise judgment within broadly defined practices and policies in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation of criterion for obtaining results
Excellent analytical, technical, and auditing skills including proficiency in U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and Financial
Accounting Services Board (FASB) rules and standards
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced work environment
