If you are an Accounting Manager who shares our philosophy, we would like to hear from you! As the Accounting Manager, you will report to the Controller and be an integral part of the Finance team at ExtraHop working with senior leaders across Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Services. The ideal candidate will be disciplined and detail-oriented with a high level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and integrity. This role demands a highly organized individual who is capable of contributing to day-to-day transactional processes while managing long-term projects.
Duties and Responsibilities
Manage accounts payable (AP), including close monitoring of AP to ensure timely payment, accurate coding, proper set up of new vendors, and preparation of 1099s at year-end. Oversee purchase-order processing and approvals in NetSuite.
Manage processing of employee expense reports to ensure they are properly categorized, approved, and in compliance with company T&E policy.
Manage processing of fixed-assets additions, disposals, and depreciation. Facilitate timely preparation of property tax filings.
Manage processing of prepaid expenses. Monitor renewals of subscriptions, insurance, and other prepaid expenditures.
Review entries to record semi-monthly payroll for all subsidiaries to ensure accurate coding and disbursement.
Prepare and review journal entries, allocations, and accounting analysis for the monthly close, researching and resolving discrepancies.
Maintain complete and accurate reconciliations of applicable balance-sheet and income-statement accounts.
Maintain and monitor foreign-currency exchange tables in NetSuite and ensure that foreign-subsidiary transactions are being recorded and valued properly.
Assist Controller in managing the monthly close schedule.
Compile and analyze financial information and assist in the accurate and timely preparation of the monthly internal and annual external audited financial systems.
Assist in the preparation of various audit schedules for the annual audit.
Weekly processing of Positive Pay.
Collaborate with the Controller to create and maintain weekly cash forecasts.
Support budgeting and forecasting activities when requested.
Manage annual foreign corporate registration filings to ensure that company is in good standing with all states.
Establish and monitor accounting controls and procedures.
Manage accounts payable and other staff, ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of work while managing team cohesiveness and growth along with individual career goals.
Assist in ad hoc projects.
Required Qualifications and Experience
Bachelor?s degree in Accounting or Finance
3?5 years of management experience in the general ledger/financial reporting area
Strong technical knowledge of US GAAP
Experience with international subsidiaries, foreign-currency transactions, and consolidations
Excellent organizational skills with experience reviewing large volumes of transactions and other detail-oriented tasks
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, agile, and collaborative start-up environment while meeting deadlines
Ability to prioritize and multitask with a strong work ethic
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Strong Excel skills
Experience with NetSuite a plus
