Accounting Manager/Senior Manager Courion

The Manager-Senior Manager, Accounting will be primarily responsible for the monthly general ledger close and financial cycles to ensure the quality, integrity, and accuracy of the Company?s GAAP financials with an emphasis on software revenue recognition. The successful candidate will build relationships with other functions within the Company to ensure communication of changes in business activities is appropriately addressed in the Company?s general ledger, audited financials, and internal management reporting. This position will also own the annual accounting audit and income tax processes as well as the development and monitoring of financial internal controls and Company financial policies/procedures.Responsibilities:
Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting activities
Ensure financial statements are presented in accordance with GAAP
Software revenue recognition (refer to position requirements)
Ensure appropriate accrual estimates are recorded each month
Variance analysis of company?s financial results
Perform balance sheet account reconciliations and analysis
Prepare and monitor the monthly closing calendar, ensuring closing deadlines are communicated and achieved. Ensure all journal entries are accurately recorded, properly supported, and reviewed
Maintain and develop all closing processes, procedures, and internal controls
Enhance and maintain general ledger application for all entities (domestic and international)
Research historical general ledger transactions as requested
Prepare the annual audit package and be the primary interface to external auditors
Assist in the deployment of new technology solutions, as they relate to the general ledger, chart of accounts, and/or budget
Manage tax regulatory compliance ? Sales and use, federal and state income, franchise tax
Supervise a staff of three
Provide business partnering guidance and analytics to other Company functional areas
Participate and/or drive other projects and tasks as assigned
Position Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor?s degree in Finance or Accounting, MBA is a plus
Certified Public Accountant (CPA), CPA candidate, or Big 4 public accounting
6 plus years accounting experience with financial statement preparation
Software revenue recognition experience

ASC 605-25-S99 (SAB 104)
ASC 605-35 (SOP 81-1)
ASU 2009-14 (EITF 08-1)
ASC 605-25-25 (EITF 00-21)
International, intercompany, and consolidation accounting
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel
Solid familiarity with ERP/CRM systems, Microsoft Dynamics GP experience is a plus
Ability to work without appreciable direction
Prior supervisory experience
