Accounting Manager Spinal Kinetics
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
? Prepare the month-end consolidated financial reports.
? Perform the consolidation and reconcile the intercompany transactions in multi-currencies. Review supporting schedules from subsidiaries and work with international accountants.
? Perform the cost accounting function, which includes analyzing variances and developing inventory standards.
? Prepare and distribute company monthly financial statements and reports.
? Supervise all aspects of the day-to day accounting processes and procedures, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
? Manage the month-end closing process and approve all journal entries prepared by staff.
? Lead all accounting involvement on global ERP implementation.
? Regularly recommend and implement methods of improving issues in the Accounting Department.
? Interfaces with all other departments to determine the monthly accruals and other monthly journal entries. Communicate with the employee population regarding relevant accounting issues.
? Manage the maintenance and control environment of the accounting systems.
? Develop and maintain accounting systems and procedures.
? Manage the cost center and chart of account structures.
? Compile financial data for corporate tax reporting to comply with federal and state government requirements. Prepares state sales and use tax reports.
? Reviews and documents present accounting practices and procedures.
? Lead the year-end audit procedures with external auditor.
? Assist in the physical inventories as required.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
BS degree or equivalent. Minimum five years related experience in accounting in addition to at least two years experience in supervision or management. Requirements include: a thorough working knowledge of computer-based accounting programs for small businesses and computerized payroll systems; an understanding of payroll and business tax requirements; exposure to labor laws as it relates to payroll. A working knowledge of desktop computer office software. Experience in management of computer network is a plus.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The ability to use a computer keyboard and standard office equipment. The mobility to move within and outside the building. May be required to sit for extended periods of time. The ability to read, write and follow complex directions. The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
