Accounting Operations Manager
Ellie Mae seeks a services-oriented individual with the ability, attitude and work ethic to handle multiple responsibilities and meet set deadlines. This unique individual contributor position will be responsible for the adoption and expansion of corporate financial applications as well as their impact on processes and controls. The position will cover multiple functional areas and will position the employee as the subject matter expert and administrator for all key accounting solutions.
Position responsibilities include:
Point person/super administrator for the Accounting team?s key solutions such as:
Workday (GL, AP, Fixed Assets, Cash Management)
Zuora (Billing, AR)
Avalara (Sales Tax)
Potential future planning and budgeting application
Additionally, this person will provide support to the Salesforce.com (CRM) administrator
Financial Analyst
Work with the accounting management team to develop and maintain standard key reports and dashboards using Workday?s, Zuora?s and Avalara?s reporting tools
Work with the Salesforce.com administrator and Sales Ops management in developing and maintaining reports and dashboards for use by the accounting and finance team
Assist in the creation and modification of any ad-hoc finance-related reports and analysis
Provide mentoring and training in the development and modification of reports as required by the accounting team
General Accounting functions such as:
Period close
AP/AR/Cash Management
Journal Entries
Assist with implementation and testing of system related SOX controls
Qualifications:
BA/BA in Finance or Accounting required. CPA and/or MBA preferred
7 ? 10 years of finance and/or accounting experience including experience in owning and maintaining accounting software solutions, preferably in a rapid growth, publicly-held organization
General knowledge of subscription revenue recognition model
Participation in or management of accounting software solutions highly preferred
Ability to design and implement complex reports and dashboards
Track record of superior service to colleagues, customers and vendors
Willingness to collaborate across the business
Experience with Workday Financials, Zuora Z-Force, Z-Billing and Z-Finance, Avalara Avatax and Salesforce.com a huge plus
Strong Excel and Access skills required
