Job Description:

Department: Finance
Reports to: Accounts Payable Manager
Function:
This position is responsible to ensure Accounts Payable (A/P) transactions are processed accurately and timely into the accounting ledger. This person will work to maintain efficiency in all A/P functions of the department and will perform duties with accuracy, implement processes and meet all timelines, goals and produce results. The Accounts Payable Associate will engage in customer service/relationships to ensure a positive experience and outcome.
Duties:
Will ensure A/P transactions are processed accurately and timely.
Will participate in the continuous improvement of the A/P process.
Will work to maintain process efficiency.
Will be responsible to record A/P efficiently, on-time and with diligent accuracy.
Will monitor accounts payable to ensure goals and deadlines are met.
Will be engaged in customer service satisfaction and take on escalations as needed.
Job Requirements:
Education: High school diploma required. Community College or University degree in Accounting, CPA or CMA certificate preferred.
Experience: 2-4 years experience in financial accounting role, including either public accounting or corporate financial accounting experience. Ability to diagnose organizational and process problems, and create and implement solutions. Requires pro-active, forward thinking thought processes and actions.
Specific Skills: Superior knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook e-mail, Internet use, and typing skills at 50 WPM; Well developed interpersonal, written, and problem-solving skills; Intermediate personal computer skills using Outlook, Word, and Excel; Intermediate skills with accounting software; Ability to organize tasks in order to meet deadlines, handle multiple priorities, organize records, provide documentation where necessary, and work independently with minimal supervision; Ability to use judgment in processing paperwork in accordance with company policies.
Physical Skill: Sufficient manual and digital dexterity to work with a computer, keyboard, mouse, monitor, and phone pad. May need to lift mail bins and/or boxes weighing 20-30 pounds and carry down stairs.
Working Conditions: 8:00 am ? 5:00 pm core schedule with frequent flexibility for start and ending times. Additional hours and/or overtime depending on the position may be required due to business needs. Other duties may be required as assigned.
