Description: BioMedix is a developer, manufacturer, and worldwide distributor of vascular diagnostic devices and software solutions. BioMedix currently has an immediate opening for an Accounts Payable Representative who is a highly motivated, professional individual with good communication skills and excellent attention to detail and follow through. This position will assist the Controller with accounting duties including but not limited to; accounts payable entry, account reconciliation, etc.
Essential Job Functions:
Process a volume of invoices accurately and within vendor payment terms
Verify proper coding with general ledger
Research invoice account issues
Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers on a daily basis
Verify that invoices include the required approvals by authorized individuals before processing for payment
Ensure all communicated standards are met
Special projects as assigned by Controller
Escalate issues to the Controller as needed
Non-Essential Job Functions:
Works on complex projects to support accounting department
Assist with month end reporting
Professional Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years accounts payable experience.
Associate Degree in related field, Bachelor Degree preferred
Great Plains experience is strongly desired
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word, intermediate level knowledge with v-look-up and pivot tables desired
Superior customer service and analytical skills
Strong attention to detail
Desire to exceed expectations, and a self-starter
Ability to exercise discretion and independent judgment when necessary
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships by developing a high level of credibility and trust with vendors
Strong written and verbal communication skills
