WideOrbit is looking for a dynamic collections professional that has an enthusiasm for keeping customers happy to join our accounting team. Everyone that interacts with our customers has an impact on our customers? satisfaction and we need a strong accounts receivable specialist that can work proactively with our customers to resolve any outstanding balances using a positive approach. As the Accounts Receivable ? Collections Specialist, you will have the opportunity to take ownership of the collections function and design collection processes that work best for the accounting department, customers, and you.
Here?s more about what you?ll be doing:
Contact customers via phone and email to inform customers of outstanding bills in efforts to reduce old accounts receivables.
Provide a high level of customer service while maintaining assigned accounts.
Keep track of correspondence and verbal communication with customers.
Handle various accounting functions including: processing customer refunds sand credit memos, reviewing/processing account adjustments, and resolving client discrepancies and short payments.
Perform other assigned tasks and duties necessary to support the Accounts Receivable and Accounting Department.
Enlist the efforts of sales and senior management when necessary to accelerate the collection process and/or to keep
Communicate effectively with sales department regarding customer accounts on a timely basis.
Work with our Controller to come up with action plans for non--collectable accounts
Here?s what we?re looking for:
3+ years corporate collections experience with knowledge of billing procedures and accounts receivable.
Strong attention to detail and goal oriented.
Experience with Sage MAS 500 is a plus.
Intermediate MS Excel skills are highly desired.
Commitment to excellent customer service.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple responsibilities.
Experience tracking and following up with accounts.
This position will be based at our San Francisco office.
