Acoustics Engineer Jawbone

OverviewJawbone is seeking a senior engineer to join its growing team within the acoustics group. This engineer will lead design and development on a variety of acoustic systems.
Responsibilities
Lead design & development (including manufacturing & QA as appropriate) for transducer (speaker and microphone) + enclosure systems from concept through production
Manage speaker and microphone system specifications
Communicate with OEMs overseas to achieve desired specifications
Create reports comparing measurements with target specifications
Speaker system measurements/simulation/analysis
Coordinate/perform acoustic/electrical measurements and simulations
Coordinate/perform transducer durability testing
Design & implement prototype speaker and microphone sub-systems (transducers, amplifiers, enclosures)
Requirements
Must have in-depth knowledge of audio electro-acoustic systems covering speakers, microphones, receivers, amplifiers, signal processors (analog and digital), filter design, ADC and DAC topology, measurement of all relevant system performance parameters (both electrical and acoustical), power supply requirements, etc.
Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering, acoustics, or physics
Self-directed with ability to drive products/projects to completion
Preferred skills
Experience in headphone and earphone design
Experience in designing small, full-bandwidth drivers
Acoustic measurement: Soundcheck, MLSSA, LMS or similar
Electrical measurement: AP
Loudspeaker simulation: LEAP, ACKABAK or similar
Good understanding of T/S
Transducer design software a plus (e.g. SpeaD)
Matlab/Simulink a plus
Hands-on prototyping capabilities
A passion for music and audio
